In 2014, the founders of Learning Unlocked recognized the challenges faced by students with learning differences in traditional school settings while working in the Clark County School District. Identifying a critical need for specialized support, they pursued certification in Educational Therapy and developed a learning environment designed to strengthen foundational skills such as literacy, math, critical thinking, leadership, communication, creativity, and problem-solving. Educational therapists are trained to help students manage academic challenges and improve performance through personalized strategies tailored to a wide range of learning and thinking differences. Their approach often involves identifying underlying issues, enhancing focus, teaching time management, and creating customized educational plans. Additionally, they provide a supportive space for students to express concerns and develop self-advocacy skills.
